Broadband is 200kbs faster than dial up. While it would take around a day to download a file using dial up, that same file could be downloaded in around five minutes if you were using broadband instead.

8951000 people subscribed to the internet in 2009. 1629000 of these were for business use and the remaining 7322000 were subscribed for home use.

During the years between 2006 and 2010 the percentage of dial up users has dramatically dropped from nearly 50% to below 10%, while the percentage usage of mobile and fixed wireless has boomed from about 3% to 40%. The usage of cable, fibre, satellite and DSL has relitavely stayed the same during the 4 year period.
